SelectBuild Arizona, LLC combines the experience of four trusted companies: KBI Construction, BBP Concrete, Riggs Plumbing and Topline Windows & Doors. Knipp Brothers, Inc. (KBI) was founded in 1976 by brothers Mike, Ed and Larry Knipp, and the company provided turnkey lumber and door services. In 1979, Knipp Brothers added a panel yard and began manufacturing exterior sided walls. Over the next two decades, the company expanded into new markets including Las Vegas, Tucson and Southern California and the Glendale Truss Industries truss plant was built. In 1999 BMHC made an investment in KBI and completed it’s acquisition of KBI in 2001. In 2003, KBI became part of BMHC’s construction services subsidiary, BMC Construction, the predecessor to SelectBuild. In 2006 all BMC Construction businesses were rebranded under SelectBuild Construction, Inc. and KBI became SelectBuild Arizona, LLC integrated construction services.
Riggs Plumbing was founded in 1948 by Keith and Mary Riggs and, with their commitment to provide the highest quality at the fairest prices, grew within the Phoenix market during the next five decades. Their son, Gerry Riggs became president in 1999. Under his leadership the company became one of the largest plumbing contractors in the nation. In 2005, Riggs Plumbing was purchased by BMHC and has become SelectBuild Arizona, LLC integrated construction services.
BBP Concrete was founded in 1979 and the company’s focus was on single-family, multi-family and light commercial ventures. In 2000 BBP Construction was formed to meet the land development needs by providing concrete structures, sidewalks and curb and gutter services. The following years marked company milestones, including the opening of Custom Home, Multi-family, Concrete Paver and Tucson divisions. In 2002 the BBP Commercial division was launched to construct large projects such as big box tilts, industrial and office warehouse buildings. BBP penetrated the Tucson market in 2005 to meet the growing demands of the homebuilders in Southern Arizona. In 2005, BBP Concrete, BBP Construction and BBP Commercial were purchased by BMHC and have become SelectBuild Arizona, LLC integrated construction services.
Topline Windows & Doors was formed in 1996 to provide quality windows and doors to residential homebuilders in Arizona. By providing innovation, dependability and a highly skilled staff, Topline Windows & Doors has expanded in their market. With more than a decade of service, the company has assembled a diverse team of qualified and experienced members to develop and operate in a highly competitive market. In 2006, Topline Windows & Doors was purchased by BMHC, Inc. and has become SelectBuild Arizona, LLC integrated construction services.
