SelectBuild Pacific Region is a division of SelectBuild Integrated Construction Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Building Materials Holding Corporation (NYSE: BLG), a publicly traded Fortune 1000 company with sales in excess of $1.3 billion annually. SelectBuild employs nearly 12,000 and operates in eight states, covering many of the commercial and most of the major homebuilding markets in the United States.
In the Pacific Region, SelectBuild is comprised of two divisions, the Southern California Division and the Northern California Division, both created through established group of construction companies with deep traditions of providing excellent service to commercial builders, industrial builders/developers, multi-family contractors, custom and high-volume production builders and developers. These California companies have come together as one team—SelectBuild—to help our clients build the highest quality projects in the most efficient way:
- HNR Framing – Founded in 1964 by Ron and Bob Thomas, HNR Framing built a reputation as a leader in commercial, custom and production framing business by becoming San Diego’s largest framing company and being recognized as a four-time winner of the Building Industry’s Greatest (BIG) Award. HNR Framing also started Home Building Components (HBC) to distribute and manufacture prefabricated structural components and other engineered wood products. HNR Framing was acquired by BMHC in 2005.
- Campbell Companies – Steve Campbell started Campbell Companies in 1984, offering commercial and residential concrete construction, trenching, post tension, and plumbing services. Before being acquired by BMHC in 2005, Campbell was the largest residential concrete construction company in the United States.
- Davis Brothers – Randy and George Davis started their high-density residential construction business in 1996. With sales of more than $110 million in 2005, Davis Brothers provides turnkey framing services to high-volume production homebuilders in Southern California's Inland Empire region. SelectBuild acquired Davis Brothers in 2006.
- Tandem West Group – Mark Benedetti started TWG in 1999, offering residential and commercial framing construction. Tandem West was a leader in residential framing services, providing framing services to high-volume production homebuilders in the Palm Springs area and other Southern California markets. Voted the best business in the Low Desert, TWG was acquired in 2006.
